'Out of the Wood' will bring together paintings and original artist prints of, from, and about trees and wood. Trees and wood are not only the subject matter but used in the image making process. A range of painting media and printing techniques will be on display.

As a biologist as well as an artist I have always been fascinated by the shapes, structures and textures of trees and wood. In this exhibition I explore aspects from the patterns and depth of stands of trees in a wood to the shapes and colours of bark and texture and curves of cut wood as well as printing from wood itself.

Tony White is a painter and print-maker based in Newport, Essex and is a member of Cambridge Open Studios, the Society of East Anglian Watercolourists, INKUS print-makers and is certificated in print-making from the Curwen Print Study Centre. Tony's work is in private and public collections in Europe, Canada, USA and Australia.
